IdeaPaint Works With Evernote

.

At IdeaPaint, we don’t believe we are in the paint business. We believe we are in the collaborative environment business. Our goal is to offer a line of products that help people create, interact and explore in new ways. Tools that foster collaboration and sharing are incredibly valuable for our customers, and that is why we are so excited to be working with Evernote.

If you are not already one of the millions of people who use this great platform, please allow us to illuminate.

Evernote is an application that lets individuals save and find their notes, images, projects, links and research across all the computers and phones they use. Chances are, if you can see it or think of it, Evernote can help you remember it. Type a text note. Clip a web page. Snap a photo. Grab a screenshot. Evernote will keep it all safe, and is infinitely useful.

Organizing content in Evernote is as simple as placing notes into notebooks or assigning relevant tags. Evernote also processes images, making any printed or handwritten text searchable.

Let’s say that last part again … Evernote makes your handwritten text searchable.

So, here is where it starts getting really fun. You’ve painted your wall, desk or ceramic garden gnome with IdeaPaint, and now you have this awesome dry-erase canvas. You’re collaborating, you’re brainstorming, and you’re pontificating. But now your meeting is done and it’s time to move on to something else (or let someone else use the gnome), but you want to save your notes and share them.

Pull out your phone or camera, snap a picture of your IdeaPaint surface and send to Evernote. Find your notes at any time by searching the handwritten text for keywords, and then share your images with anyone you want, continuing the collaborative process online and on-the-go by adding notes to your image.

Infinitely useful.

And it gets better too, because right now you can get 3-months of Evernote’s  Premium service, which includes bigger upload capacity, support for more file types and enhanced security, for FREE with any purchase of 50sf or more of IdeaPaint. Learn more about this special offer at ideapaint.com/evernote.

To kick this whole thing off, Evernote and IdeaPaint are giving away this incredibly sweet, one-of-a-kind, custom IdeaPaint iPad (16GB, Wi-Fi). iPad goodness on one side, and IdeaPaint goodness on the other. I'd use IdeaPaint in a room at home so my partner and I can collaborate and brainstorm. I'd save those ideas in Evernote like I do with all whiteboard brainstorming.

I'd love to use Evernote and Ideapaint for my schoolwork, to keep track of my schedule, etc.

I want to do a wall in my 2-year-old daughter's room in IdeaPaint! Evernote would keep track all her creations!

I would use it to keep track of case research, as I am in law school.

would use to track all our tech projects at a k-12 school!

Great for creating temporary photo backdrops!

Love this, love this, love this.

Thinking of ways to incorporate it into what I do.

The possibilities are endless.

I coach a high school debate team and we collaboratively brainstorm, sketch arguments, and otherwise combine our consciousness through whiteboards and shared workspace like GoogleDocs every day. With IdeaPaint and Evernote, we can skip the redundant step of having to manually transcribe and copy everything we write in our whitespace into the cloud by just snapping photos and uploading them to Evernote - and in doing so, we'll gain the ability to search our previous ideas and thus streamline our organization.

Plus, I'm not too wild about how environmentally irresponsible standard whiteboards are, and would love for our lab to make the transition to IdeaPaint.

IdeaPaint and Evernote will free up a lot of valuable time from transcription and fumbling through GoogleDocs and allow us to focus on the creative and educational side of our craft. I think we'll be more competitive when we can stop copying and keep creating.

Love the idea of a big collaborative workspace that I can photograph & save to my Evernote account

I'd use my IdeaPaint in an early learning environment- I'd paint the walls up to the children's height in IdeaPaint so they could draw backdrops for their dramatic play, learn to write, use it to write down their ideas, a daily schedule, use it to help build early math concepts- the list goes on. And what kid doesn't like to draw on the walls?! I'd use Evernote to document their work, make it searchable so I can refer to it while planning emergent curriculum, and have it available to parents in a shared folder along with pictures of their child's day, progress reports, etc. so that each parent can have an evolving portfolio that follows their child's development.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 12:37 PM by Lana Smith
I'd use IdeaPaint to replace the white boards I have stacked on all the walls around my office. I got into the habit of keeping a separate white board for each project and can be working on ten projects at the same time... But being able to sketch out an idea on my wall, grab a pic and save it in the Evernote project folder? Nice.

I've wanted to use IdeaPaint in two rooms in my next place. One was a spot in the kitchen so I could write down my cooking concoctions while creating for friends and family. The other place would be in a computer/design room so I had a place to figure out ideas and brainstorm so I could see the whole picture. The great thing is, I could take pictures of my craziness and save it at Evernote so it wouldn't get lost if someone should happen to wipe away my latest recipe, or my little sister decided to draw over my latest design idea with her drawing of an elephant :)
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 12:42 PM by JadenKale
I love interior design and I love the idea that you could have a room where you can plan out on the walls what you would do with it. If/when I have the money I want to have several rooms in my house painted with IdeaPiant, this way i can be creative whenever and wherever I want. I'm so glad someone came up with this idea.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 12:42 PM by Melissa
As a writer - both creative and copy - I jump at the chance to try out new organizational programs. Nothing is worse than wasting time pouring over TextEdit files or random web clippings, especially when it's time to write.

Combined with IdeaPaint, I think this combination is just what I'm missing in both my work and personal writing.

And at the very least, an iPad would be awesome! ;)

I work with children with Autism, and it's quite difficult to motivate them to work on fine-motor tasks like writing. Having a wall in my studio where they could draw, express their thoughts and feelings, and work on building up to those writing skills would be fantastic. How motivating is drawing on the walls?! Extremely!! I'd be able to use Evernote to snap pictures of their work during and at the end of a session, so parents could see the progression of their child's work, and I can look back at what they've done over time to help generate ideas and insight into new therapy focuses and methods that might help that child blossom.

I'd use Idea Paint to make an idea/doodle surface on by desk!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 12:57 PM by Suzanne Sawyer
I'd use the paint and Evernote in my office for mental health counseling - being able to write out some of what we're talking about, and then save it for notes later - brilliant!

I just bought in to Evernote, and was one of the early adopters of IdeaPaint. Our facility was the first CrossFit to install IdeaPaint, and it's been great for us! I'm looking forward to using it in our second location as well. Notes, task lists, and workout scores from both whiteboards can be loaded to Evernote with a simple snap at the end of each day, for sifting, sorting, and storing the data!

It would be even better if I could redirect the data as needed on the fly, using a cool IdeaPaint iPad!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:02 PM by JT Scott
I would use them both in the office and at home and also add some Idea Paint at my Mom's apartment. She has Alzheimer's so an Idea Paint spot to leave her reminders would be a great help.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:02 PM by Chuck Jones
I would paint a wall in my home office to visualize and solve complex equations that would normally be done on paper. I'd put that into Evernote along with descriptive comments that I could access from any device to use in whatever language's code I'd be converting them to.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:04 PM by Jamie
I would stop writing my brilliant ideas on gum wrappers, napkins, and old receipts.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:05 PM by MX Reynoso
Brilliant combination! I'm using it immediately.
I want to paint my kitchen table with idea paint for the kids to scribble on while I draw out my brainstorms for business projects.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:06 PM by Aliica Brown
I would use this in two places. First, in my lab (archaeology) to share stratigraphy concepts with students online. Second I have a table at home that I painted with chalkboard paint that has never worked well as a chalkboard so I would give it a coat of IdeaPaint.

I've been using Evernote for over a year now & love this new collaboration!

My husband and I have day/night hours so I can see using the wall in our dining area to jot our to-do's/messages to each other then snap and have them on our phones, even if we totally missed each other. Also, our toddler is at the age of exploring art. Rather than using paper every day, I would rather let him draw on the walls, snap it, and keep mementos of his creativity, erase, and let him start again.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:10 PM by Christine
I run a farm, a jewelry business and I take care of the family and my husband had a TBI from Iraq. I would use Evernote and IdeaPaint to keep track of our chickens in the hen house, I would use it to work out new designs for my jewelry and also to keep track of appointments. Another thing I do is tutoring...IdeaPaint and Evernote would be GREAT for this!!!

This is a terrific idea for redoing the walls of our house and making it friendly for work and for kids at home.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:27 PM by Mat
i've been faithfully using evernote for quite a while now. even though i have a 9-5 job, my home office is really the hub for all my extra activities and this would be perfect for daily brain dumps: freelance web development, art & design, lesson planning for tutoring, and grad school.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:29 PM by Matt
I would use the paint on my office wall to show my co-workers the processes we are working in without limitation in a regular white board. It would be great to use the corners of a room to get a new dimension in showing processes and progress.

Best creations in ages.

We run a rock-based music school and the directors are constantly searching for our one elusive white board that seems to be in demand by teachers in their lesson rooms and directors in our rehearsal space. I want to IdeaPaint one wall in each room – including the rehearsal space – so they can post the set lists and notes for kids. At the end of each rehearsal, they can snap a quick shot of the list and pop it into EverNote to keep a running record of the songs they’ve covered. Brilliant combination!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 1:58 PM by Stefani Hite
We already use & love IdeaPaint here at the office. We have two entire walls painted, and I painted myself a little spot by my desk. I never take notes on paper anymore, just write it up on the wall, snap a pic with my phone and away we go!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:05 PM by Catherine
IdeaPaint and Evernote would be the perfect combination for brainstorming with my business partners in our software building startup
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:08 PM by Ray Gonsalves
I would use IdeaPaint for my neice and nephew to let their creativity flow! Evernote would be so helpful in my daily schedule and important events! It would make my life so much easier!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:14 PM by Julie Tcha
I would paint the wall in our student ministries center mezzanine for students to write, draw, have fun . . . and then take pictures and allow them to take pictures, uploading for organizing and sharing with evernote.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:14 PM by Mike Sheley
I homeschool my nine & ten year-old so I can't tell you how unbelievably awesome it would be to have Idea Paint covering a room in our home. Then being able to just snap a pic of the days notes & send them to Evernote would make their day & mine stress free!!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:15 PM by Christi Deal
Would love to use in the office for staff meetings. By jotting down action items and due dates, everyone could have immediate access. And this would be so useful for those little items we need to follow-up on but no one ever seems to know what to do with.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:18 PM by stephanie carroll
I would love to use Ideapaint in our conference room to be able to write down ideas as they come up and not have to pull easels and boards or pads out of the closet. This would be much more useful and much more productive.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:27 PM by Sharon
Great stuff! I would use IdeaPaint to organize the family on a wall that can't take a whiteboard.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:30 PM by paige
I'd use it as a replacement for the entertainment center in the living room. What fun! .... no, actually, this would be ideal for the creation of a "planning room" at our training centers.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:31 PM by Bernie
I would use IdeaPaint and ever not to draw concept sketches for my clients while in meetings, then use Evernote to store them and catalog them for the project.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:38 PM by Nate
I work on a lot of University project and have used it in a couple. It is far superior than a sheet wallpaper product! Now with a great way to store the ideas that go up on the wall the sky is the limit (or maybe the ceiling unless it's painted with ideapaint!)

I would love to use IdeaPad to draw flow charts and diagrams! It's the best way to brainstorm ideas for me
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:43 PM by Lori
I would use Ideapaint to write down all the funny things that happen when I hang out with the Avallons. And I would use Evernote so that everyone could access images of the quote board

Love me some ideapaint! I just want to cover a wall and table with it at my office! That ipad would rock too ;)
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:48 PM by Tyler Ridings
I would sneak into my school at night and covertly paint the long wall in my classroom with IdeaPaint to double the amount of whiteboard space my students could use to collaborate while solving math problems. Go math!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 2:51 PM by Amy Del Medico
...and I forgot to add, that I would then use my iPhone with Evernote to save their work and make it accessible to the class via a public notebook.

My office needs this, and so do I. I have 3 boards in my office, and all are full... I could use more space.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:00 PM by Angie G.
I would paint my home office wall and use the writing surface to help me manage budget/finances, family appointments, draw concepts, and capture work-related thoughts when I telecommute from home. Evernote would come into play by allowing me to photograph the white board writing and then let Evernote do its magic. All idaes would be stored in the cloud (accessible at home, work, anywhere) and all written words would be fully searchable within Evernote. This would be a great combination.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:10 PM by Mark Rutherford
this partnership is amazing !! IdeaPaint and Evernote - what else is there to say? IdeaPaint all over the walls and covered with more writing and doodles than one can imagine and with a simple photo it can be shared all over the world though Evernote !! How awesome is that? Oh - any winning that iPad wouldn't be bad either!

I’m a graphic designer and could use IdeaPaint in my office very well. I’d use it to jot down ideas and even for sketching. AND, I could use Evernote as my new sketchbook! When finished with one idea/sketch, I’d erase it on the wall but would snap a picture beforehand. This could be the beginning of my new DIGITAL sketchbook! I also have a 2-year old who inherited my love to art. I’d like to paint his walls with IdeaPaint, so he could have an entire wall for himself to explore his creativity.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:25 PM by Steffi
I would use IdeaPaint and EverNote in brainstorming client ideas, storyboarding custom photo albums for my clients, and keeping track of all the inspirations I use for my photography. The idea of being able to keep track of everything all in one place is fantastic! Sure beats the mountain of post-its all over my desk - and a much greener solution too! I have TONS of ideas on how I could use the iPad with client consults and proofing meetings. Great idea!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:26 PM by Jennifer Mayberry
I am a mother of four children that are all in school (ages 5-15) and am also a student myself. My walls have seen plenty of writing already ;), but seriously, with so many people doing school work the increased amount of space that ideapaint would offer would be really convenient. Keep up the good work, hope to hear from you soon!

I have three specific places I'd do: 1: the side wall in the pantry where all the kids heights are measured, then log with evernote 2: my dd bedroom door so we can write ntoes back/forth - evernote for saving 3: a wall in the office so we can stop losing the VIP info we need - evernote for safe keeping as well
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:36 PM by Elizabeth Taylor
I have been thinking about this paint for my wife to put down schedules and goals on for the kids to see. Ironically, I just put Evernote onto her new verizon iphone. So, this combo is just what we need.

Hi! I would use IdeaPaint and Evernote to help my son with his Algebra (which he has a very hard time with). He would love the idea of writing on his wall in his room, so the genius of IdeaPaint + Evernote = Voilà! for us. I have been homeschooling my son and this would be a great addition to our curriculum aides, besides being able to use it in the 'schoolroom' we have here, as well as in his room. Then we could take a pic of his work via his cell and that way he could download it to my computer and his own to be able to look back later at notes, formulas, methods, etc. Wow! We cannot wait!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:49 PM by JACQUELINE TIGGS
Nice. The paint solution inspires larger spaces and conference walls... and more walls for brainstorming sessions. In non-dry erase write... Hey! Use Evernote to snapshot and share ideas, eh!

The best marriage of 2 products since chocolate met peanut butter! We'd use both in the work we do in helping nonprofit organizations build and engage communities. Thanks!

We are getting ready to build a house and an office, definitely have lots of things bookmarked that Evernote could help with and we have a wall already marked out for IDEAPAINT!

I'd paint the wall of my student group's room (Tech Entrepreneurs). We have 6 startups sharing the room, and could use some permanence to our thoughts!

Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 5:08 PM by Justin
I already use Evernote to take and organize notes in class, and I don't know what I'd do without it. IdeaPaint would make a great contribution to my arts high school, so that we might draft ideas and collaborate with ease. Imagine, a giant, constantly evolving sketch pad that everyone using the studio has access to!

I'd love to use Ideapaint to make my son's room more interactive.

Great product.

It would go nicely on select walls of the special needs center (handicapped children) I am visiting and helping with in Romania. I am here for another couple of months.

The iPad would be a great addition to my freelancing computer technology. Plans for use include raising more awareness of places like this in need of support. The iPd would be great for my various videos, time management needs, etc. related to running my businesses and raising awareness for groups that need it

I'm already a big Evernote user. I love the idea of painting my office wall and using Idea Paint, too!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:04 PM by Ann H.
I would love IdeaPaint and an upgrade to premium Evernote! We are redoing our game room and adding study spaces. Our kids use a small white board to study for tests and Evernote to capture school notes. What a great mesh of both! A big study wall in the game room to study or doodle to map out ideas and then save them. Wow!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:09 PM by Kim Grant
If I got this super sweet IdeaPaint iPad, I would use to allow me to do all of my screenwriting work in one place at anytime, anywhere. Instead of first drawing out the story outline diagrams on yellow notepads or scrap sheets of paper and then have to wait until I could get to my laptop to translate the diagram into a structured Evernote text note, I could do it all in one place! Just draw out all the visual stuff on one side then flip it over, tap the Evernote iPad app, and start typing it all away! It would make life so much easier.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:10 PM by Thomas Pelkey
This would work well in my bathroom office.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:15 PM by Julia
I would love to use IdeaPaint and Evernote at the therapy center where I work with children on the autism spectrum.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:16 PM by Jeremy Brown
As an artist and designer with ADHD, I would paint my drawing surface and exit doors to record ideas and notes, and to reduce my reliance on Post-its and the back of envelopes, and to provide backup to my cell phone and Evernote.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:25 PM by David Hogan
if i won the iPad, i would give it to my son, samuel, who is in college. as for the ideapaint, i am sure samuel would be able to use it in his studies. i am a single mom and disabled so i have never been able to afford to send him to college or give him nice things like an ipad. after high school, he served in the USMC for five years and is able to use the GI bill to continue his education. it would be a dream come true for me to give him an ipad in appreciation for his service to our country and hard work in college.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:43 PM by linda mcculloch
Wow! Look at all the great ideas. As a mom of three active teenagers I'd use the idea paint as a family message board to keep track of everyone, as well as a way to post meal ideas for the weekly menu.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:51 PM by Katrina Halperin
I'm a huge fan of both Evernote and Ideapaint. Having just moved into a new office, the Ideapaint + Evernote combo would be perfect for both personal notes, group collaboration and posting to Tumblr and Posterous.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:56 PM by Wilson
Love this idea! I would the paint on a wall in my office for both brainstorming ideas and for keeping track of my daily schedule. I would use the iPad for showing off my portfolio when making sales calls that will (hopefully) fill the painted wall with to-do lists!

The combination of ideapaint and evernote would be awesome in a bible study or Sunday school class setting.
Posted @ Wednesday, February 16, 2011 7:34 PM by Jeremy
Learning opportunities for my kindergartner. I already save ideas for learning games that I find on the web in Evernote. IdeaPaint would allow us to play out those games as large as life rather than on a bitty piece of paper.

I love evernote, and have been dying to try ideapaint. I'm planning on converting my home office wall to idea paint - bottom portion for my kids to draw, top half for my work - capturing my whole family's creativity, and evernote for all things digital, including taking searchable snaps of my ideapaint wall.

I've been an Evernote Premium user for about a year. I've been 'going digital' more and more these days. I've recently picked up the LiveScribe Echo pen and have my handwritten notes auto-feed into Evernote. I still like the feel of writing and need a pen in my hand to be most creative. Using IdeaPaint would help me get my ideas organized, visual yet still searchable, shareable, and repurpose-able. I've learned about creating a Level 4 and 5 surface to my home office walls. I'm a professional and a full-time grad student. This would greatly help me do schoolwork, share with classmates and get an edge at work.

I'm thinking about making another wall ready for IdeaPaint for my 2 year old. Of course saving his drawings for years to come would be a treat. Keeping them saved in Evernote looks to be easy!

I would use the idea paint to paint my 14 yo wall to get messages through to him. I would give the other half of the paint to my wife to use in her pre-k classroom, her students would love it.

I work in a busy Emergency Dept which relies on communication. The idea of smart walls is the answer to seamlessly getting info to people in the department without clogging wall space with posters and flyers. It will also be great for teaching the trainees and student doctors who can snap the notes with their phones.

I am a Junior in college and would love to use Ideapaint in my apartment for putting notes and study material everywhere that way no matter where I go in my apartment I am studying...even on the door in the bathroom :) The Ipad would be create for school but also for tinkering with my pictures and editing.

I would use the IdeaPaint for my home office! I would use it on an entire wall so I can make lists, brainstorm, and doodle designs! It would be amazing to be able to add it to an iPad so I could take my "wall of work" with me anywhere I go!

Besides painting a wall in my home office with IdeaPaint I would also try painting a couple of portable surfaces, like a lap desk (something I could travel with and still have handy for example). Then I would use Evernote to store and retrieve really great images and ideas that were hard to classify but useful for new creative projects in the future.

Is the paint a good projection surface?
Posted @ Thursday, February 17, 2011 8:35 AM by Jon walker
@Jon@jonwalker.com Yes, works great for projections. It is a high gloss surface, so you'll just want to pay attention to the angle of your projection.

At work, I would love to be able to share our whiteboard notes with colleagues in other states and countries. I am also studying spanish and think it would be helpful to photograph and then search my professors whiteboard notes. Faster and more efficient than trying to take notes AND absorb the material.

It would definitely help me with my urge to write everything everywhere. I mean the last time I searched my garbage bin for the piece of envelope I have written an account number on was sort of a lesson that I simply have to solve this. Not to mention how awesome it would be to be able to just sit up take a marker and just write on the wall if anything occurs to me in sleep.

I am a full time student and work 3 jobs. I would follow the iPad idea and paint my binders to have a portable whiteboard.
Also, I direct plays for kids - I would use Ideapaint on set pieces so I could easily change colors and patterns from one play to the next. Then photo time so I can keep the color/pattern in my Evernote portfolio!

I wish I'd known about this a few months ago - I ended up going for something else instead. Anyway, I would use this for everything from uni, to work, to other projects and my own life! Using it on my kitchen cupboard for recipes, shopping lists and other to-dos sounds like a great idea! Anyway, I'm in love with this and want a proper office so that I can coat it in this stuff ;) Combine it with Evernote and BAM! I have a searchable image of the shopping list when I'm in the shop.

i use evernote for everyday notes etc, and would find it so useful that PRO would be amazing.

with walls for ENDLESS MINDLESS white-boarding, the possibilities are endless. planning, sketching, designing, scheduling, doodling, notes, reminders, photos... ideapaint would be STINKIN' amazing!

IdeaPaint and Evernote would be great for me with my film career, I could use IdeaPaint to storyboard and brainstorm ideas for my projects, then snap a photo of it, sent it to Evernote, take my laptop or phone when I go out, thus having a wall of resources that I could call upon when searching for talent or during meetings (usually coffee in a public place). It would make things much easier.

@Jody Yes, actually it's one of the greenest dry-erase solutions on the market. Check out this blog post: http://www.ideapaint.com/blog/bid/53419/The-Life-Cycle-of-a-Traditional-Whiteboard

I work in software development and use Agile/SCRUM to run projects. Currently we manage projects with a whiteboard and post-it notes, but unfortunately, the whiteboard is only a portable one, so is not big enough for the job and only a subset of the work can be managed at once.

I would use IdeaPaint to turn the whole wall into a whiteboard so the whole project could be managed, and then, buy taking photos of it, a daily history can be kept in Evernote which will make my monthly reports much easier.

I have a lot of art projects going on currently. I would use evernote to keep my projects organized, including the supplies I needed and more "to do's". The ipad would be great because I already take pictures with my phone and try to work from them, but the screen is really small and it is hard to see details. The ideapaint would be awesome for planning my projects, as a lot of the time I collaborate with friends. Currently my basement is my workshop and we could paint the walls with the ideapaint so that we could draw out our ideas. It would also be cool to use in my projects. Currently I'm working on a kid's mural and making part of it a dry erase surface would make it fun and functional.

I would use Evernote and IdeaPaint in conjunction to make the editor office for my campus newspaper an open and acessible brain-storming center - whilst keeping track of eveything on the go!

We've been thinking about doing a wall of baclboard paint for a while now, but ThinkPaint would work even better - more colours and brightness in the room. Shared notebooks in Evernote means we'll all know what the latest stories are, and it can all go up on the wall like a professional news-room.

And once it comes down turning that wall-full of ideas into a newspaper, we'd much rather be doing it around a table on a tablet than a dozen of us clustered around a computer screen.

I would like to introduce IdeaPaint to my fellow students at business school. Our school is undergoing a renovation, and could potentially replace the standard whiteboards in our meeting rooms with IdeaPaint. This would be a great way to introduce the product to a set of consumers who could then adopt the product in their workplace.

I would use IdeaPaint for instructional aid in my video podcasts and take a still of the whiteboard and import that into EverNote as a reference for the text to accompany the podcast. Very efficient - a great timesaver for video podcasters or video bloggers.

I think IdeaPaint is very cool. 2 of my grandsons ages 5 and 8 were asking me to buy them a whiteboard for their room a few days ago. I would use ideapaint in their bedroom and create a large as life whiteboard for them. They love to draw and sketch so I know they would use their wall every day. I would keep the ipad so I could use it and evernote to keep myself & my business organized. I have been searching for an organizing tool like this for a long time.

My children are amazing artists. They will cover every available surface with any medium if they run out of paper. So I propose this:
1.) Paint a blank wall in my kitchen with IdeaPaint. Allow my kiddos to go nuts. This will simultaneously free my refrigerator of about a metric ton of artwork on paper.

2.) Instead of scanning paper art into my computer, I will now snap digital photos of the IdeaPaint Wall Art and upload to the web.

Bonus: when we travel 10 hours to see grandma and grandpa I'll just log in and pull up the kid art on their computer. One less thing to pack.

I'd use IdeaPaint and Evernote at our Arc Community Gallery http://www.artsforrecovery.com to help us with brain storming when we are working on new exhibitions and projects for local mental health support and wellbeing groups.

And also I'd love to see if the paint could somehow be used as a part of artwork. And for reusable labelling in our gallery space.

I have two children who are avid drawers/colorers and have exhausted my "stash" of paper to use for their creations. I would use IdeaPaint in our playroom to give them an infinite number of "pieces of paper" so they may draw and color to their hearts' content! I'd then capture their creations on Evernote and save them for posterity.

IdeaPaint will be great for my studio area and shop area walls. No more having to mount white boards or having to roll a white board from room to room, just being able to grab a marker and ideate will be great, and with evernote I can quickly take a pic and send it to colleagues I work on projects together with, or just archive my ideas before they get erased! An industrial designers dream! Thanks!

Evernote's tagline is "Remember Everything." I have a life that is FULL of "everythings": my own constant and wildly varied ideas and projects, my grandchildrens' stories and drawings, my dog showing and breeding business, gardening projects, travels, and dreams. I would be EAGER to have one piece of software to hold it all together, sort it, make it searchable, and, mostly, to help me remember it all!

6 months ago I installed 50sq ft of idea paint in my office. I have been working on a separate business idea with a partner of mine and we have had regular meetings, at least once a week ever since and the "idea paint" wall is helping us take an idea, turn it into a business and hopefully into an empire. Thank you idea paint.

All our lives, especially in childhood, we're told not to do things: don't play with your food, don't pull on the cat's tail, don't write on the walls... Ever since I was little I dreamed of a room where I could ignore that last rule and unleash all my thoughts, ideas, and creativity right in my room. When I heard that they had finally come up with a paint that would allow my dream to come true- IdeaPaint- my inner child reawakened and shouted for joy. IdeaPaint would make life more fun, from homework to just lounging around the house.... It has infinite uses. I could doodle, write, write myself a to-do list, leave my family a loving note, create my own little world of endless imagination, and make calculations and rough drafts for school more fun. IdeaPaint would be the best thing to happen to my home and family: a place to openly be ourselves and have fun without wasting paper or wasting away in front of the television or computer. IdeaPaint is probably one of the best ideas ever.

Wish I would have had this back in the college days. I had pictures and comment's next to them all over my dorm room (covering all the wall's). My parents wanted to kill me and took a full day and i cant tell you how many products from toothpast, airfreshner and cleaners to get it all off to get our deposit back. Of course, Evernote would be awesome for home schooling too and keeping all my weekly assignments together, contact info, appointment info and each of our schedules in it. I can also use it to help with keeping me organized as my daughter's soccer team coach!!

I would choose a nice-sized rectangular space on my wall for my Ideapaint application. I (we) would use the space for everything: from promoting our creativity to the more mundane long term/short term "need to do" lists and grocery lists. Come across a cool or helpful website?? Don't rely on the ageing memory-- scribble it on the wall to make it accessible to yourself and your family members. Answer the phone for your son?? Write the message up on the wall. We're transgressing to our childhood days when writing on the wall was forbidden. No longer the case!! What a great concept! I hope to buy and use this product soon. Thanks, Ideapaint creators!!

I work from home and often find myself disorganized or procrastinating whe there's no inspiration. When I do get inspired, I jot things down on any old scrap of paper there is to be found. These get lost in the general mess, and I end up stuck in a vicious circle. If I could give the wall next to my desk a coat of IdeaPaint and combine that instant note space with the tools Evernote provides for remembering and organizing thoughts, I'd be invincible! And very grateful to boot.

As a special education teacher, I am forever running out of space for my kids to practice skills that I teach. My current whiteboard space is limited as I share a room w/ another teacher. I could then share all of our activities with students so they can use this information as reference and for studying for exams.

Life is all about ideas right? Making them happen seems to be the only path we can walk on and the duo composed of both Evernote and Idea Paint is the perfect yin yang for all the productive ones. Just start a though in your mind, right it down in Evernote, than add some other stuff, e.g. photos etc. Next take a sharpie in your hand, come closer to the wall and let tie idea live it's life :) Best wishes from Poland

Iv already been using a combination of my cellphone camera, traditional whiteboards, and Evernote to collect the results of brainstorming sessions for over a year now, and I can say without a doubt that about 30-40 of my colleagues have followed my lead and now do the same.

Making those pictures of whiteboards searchable is where the real value of Evernote peaked for us as an organization. Brainstorming sessions months old could still provide value to us (as opposed to being lost in the ether of history) because we could still find them.

We have been thinking of using IdeaPaint for a while now to create our very own idea room i.e. painting our entire war room (walls, ceiling, table surfaces, everything) with IdeaPaint - because we believe that anywhere should be a good place to scribble a good idea. Winning this competition would give me a great push to make sure this happens.

I already have used Evernote for the last four years both on my desktop and recently on my iPhone. Fabulous app for saving and retrieving various bits of info. I would love to paint the walls of our office with IdeaPaint to track progress on our environmental sustainability program using the visual design concepts from LEAN. We could paint red and green circles right on the wall to indicate task status and identify countermeasures collaboratively in our stand-up meetings.

I would put small portions of the ideapaint on all my wals including on doors, the fridge, my carr, my computerscreen and part of my arm. I would then use the ideapaint instead of post-it stickynotes, blue beats yellow everyday!! This is where evernote comes in, as I cant take my wall with me, I will use evernote (already do) to tag the notes and share them between my home and work PC's and my android desire phone. The writing's on the wall, and my first sentance will be: eat this 3M!

I run a small family business as well as homeschool my children. I would utilize IdeaPaint and Evernote for both. For the business, I could send ideas, schedules, etc., to remote colleagues. For the homeschool we can document the children's work, schedules and ideas for their portfolio.

If I were allowed to, I would paint one of my student apartment walls with this stuff!
I'm already a heavy user of both whiteboards and Evernote for my programming needs, and a king size one at home would ve bliss :D

I'd paint a wall in my daughter's room to enjoy her artistic creations and part of the wall in my workroom to brainstorm new ideas (and capture the greatest with Evernote!)

I'd paint the walls of the lab. Perfect for noting temporary arrangements of cabling, modifications to circuitry, quick notes on system parameters, and instructions on how to run systems.

My mom runs an art gallery and is trying to spread how valuable art is to the kids by having them using the creativity inside them. This paint would be a wonderful project for them to work towards!

I'm so glad I heard about ideapaint! I'm planning on using it in my new home office/craft room and am psyched that I can sync all my ideas with Evernote too!

I would use it to stay in touch with the world and to color my world in beautiful hues.

I love the concept of IdeaPaint!! I can't wait to buy some and try it out at home and in my office. Working in a law firm, there are constant projects and additions to cases that I make. It drives me crazy when I jot something down and a week later, I can't find the sticky note or paper that it was written on. With Evernote and their ability for handwritten text recognition, this could make my unorganization alot more manageable!!

I like dreaming big. There are so many things I want to achieve in life so I know that I will have made a positive impact on the society I live in. IdeaPaint would be an awesome tool to use with Evernote to allow me to think of new initiatives and goals to achieve by making this process simple. I currently use Evernote on both my Android and on my PC and it has, no exaggeration, made my life simpler. The sense of accomplishment I feel when I can tick off an item on my to-do list or if I finish writing another paragraph of my short story is amazing and IdeaPaint will be a wonderful complement to it.

My 17-year old daughter would get this. She is an aspiring artist and plans on attending art school. She loves to draw, paint, sew, or do just about anything that is artistic. She currently pins, nails, or tapes everything to her walls. I would love to give her this so she can explore her world on her walls and change it up anytime she wants. The Ipad would be an added bonus for her since her computer broke several months ago and she would not have to use mine anymore.

I already use Evernote to keep track of things I find online such as Character Outlines, Plot Outlines and more. (I am a writer)

With IdeaPaint, I could do the Outlines on the wall, and then take a digital pic and upload it to Evernote and have my filled in Character sheets and plot outlines done and not have to keep making a new template.

I will use the IdeaPaint on my room so I could have notes of ideas and notes about things to do easily. Also I will combine it with Megaman or Mario Wall Stickers and have fun, just like a child =D

Then I could take a Evernote Snapshot of the adventures I draw and the notes I want to remember later, put them on the Internet and share it with my friends =D

I would love idea paint to cover all wall surfaces in my house, why? 1.- Kids-proof, 2. Write reminders everywhere without wasting a post-it, 3. Brainstorming meets art: which can become part of the ever changing decoration of the house. Excited! :)

I would document my children's artwork

I am a semi-self made designer, soon-to-be teacher, and a iPad/iPhone/Evernote junkie.

I am in love with this paint I would use it in my design room… to blog/project storm. I’ve already picked the wall!

I would use it in my Classroom/Gym as a digital chalk board. Sharable to all my students. Taking Notes is way fun if you do it this way.

…and many other ways if chosen.

I need this magical paint!

I might, just might, be able to use it to figure out the ultimate answer to life, the Universe and everything! Oh way, it's the ultimate question I'm looking for...

I want to use ideapaint and iPad to teach some interesting thing to my lovely niece.

I'll paint my room's wall by ideapaint, and talk and write togetgher with my niece.

and memorize session with my niece by iPhone's camera, and send for evernote.

finally, I enjoy showing session's memory by iPad with my niece.

and come back to in front of ideapaint wall, try to continue session with my niece.

endless...endless...

Oh! How amazing place, isn't it?

A very neat and obvious pairing of creative media. I would use this to be very, very clever. I hope.

So many incredible ideas in these comments! I'd use IdeaPaint and Evernote to keep track of all of my responsibilities as a bookmobile librarian: from truck maintenance to Summer Reading Programs, from ordering materials for our collection to keeping our tech plans in order, there are all kinds of tasks and ideas to keep organized. These tools would really help me out! I really like the fact that visual planning and brainstorming can be implemented and organized in an accessible manner.

I'd use it on the door, on both sides. From the inside it would be great for quick to-do notes. From the outside, friends and neighbours could leave messages.

Hmmm..... Good question. Not really sure exactly how I'd use it, but sounds cool

This is such a cool tool. I wish I could have it.

This would be great for a couple things; to allow my girls a great way to be creative without using up so much paper, it would be a great learning tool for them as they enter kindergarten this fall, and it would make for a great photography back drop.

I would use Ideapaint and evernote to help me in the planning of launching a new business for the non profit I work for. We do group think meetings and to be able to capture all of our ideas and track their evolution would not only be productive but we could use it as a great and new learning tool.

I will use it in my office - will be to most modern office of the company.

This is such a great product. Such innovation and forward thinking. I can think of many reasons how this could be used. I am very excited for this to come out in the market.

I'd love to use Evernote and IdeaPaint as a way to better organize my life. By having a small section of my home painted with the innovative paint, I could better organize daily tasks as well as do work from home. Need to leave me a message? Write a note on my wall at home! The reduction of paper and waste would be something I'd gladly welcome. I'm a logical guy and this just makes a whole lot of sense to me.

We currently hang a white-board calendar on the wall as the "master" family calendar. I think it would be cool to be able to just use the wall instead.

I am moving to a new office next month, and am ready to paint one wall white. We plan, plan, and plan constantly for parties with Japanese companies in Kentucky. Ideas spill out of my head and my staff's heads constantly. With IdeaPaint: voila, now they can spill onto the wall.

I do a lot of book writing, as well as ghost blogging for clients. I am building a home office, and would turn one of the walls into an IdeaPaint wall. There, I can sketch out chapters, create outlines for blog posts, and mind map social media marketing ideas for clients.

I go through too many sticky notes...I need to cover my workspace with Idea Paint. As for Evernote, I've been told (by my spouse) that I have a hard time remembering everything I need. Every little tool helps!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 23, 2011 12:55 PM by Joe
I'm a visual learner so combining the ability to physically draw on my walls using Ideapaint and clipping notes and images on Evernote, it would help bring me to a new level! It would also help me be a better leader and coach to my clients!

I would use Evernote and Ideapaint for brainstorming awesome ideas for my new small biz.

I am a homeschool teacher of 5 children...2 have graduated form college as civil engineers but I have 3 left at home.
I would Ideapaint for an entire wall in my classroom area so we can brainstorm through sessions, add calendar information, etc..I am sure that my kids will want this in their bedrooms too.
I NEED Evernote to help me keep us with my home school schedule, my college re-certification schedule/classes and household tasks.
My husband is writing his third book and I need to help him stay organized!!!

Managing three businesses, creating courses for students, managing five schedules, and training for triathlons requires that I make the most of the time I have. Both IdeaPaint and Evernote would enable the groups I work with to build on each other's thoughts and ideas and then quickly put those ideas into action. What a welcome idea for everyone.

Hi, I am part of a group of young people who work together to create robots. Our team is "RoboTex Robotics." We have been competing in the BEST Robotics competition for three years in a row and are preparing for our fourth competition which will be this fall. Check out this page for more information regaurding the robotics competitions: http://best.eng.auburn.edu/

Individual members of our team currently use several large white-boards to conduct brainstorming sessions; Illustrating the ideas that they come up with a dry erase marker. Although this is very a very effective way to get the team's thoughts flowing, the restrictions of board cause restrictions in the freedom of being able to walk up and quickly express your ideas along someone else. One major problem we had was running our of space. What we would do is when the board got full of ideas, we would take a picture of it and then send the picture to all of our friends on the team using e-mail.

There were still some major problems with this:
-Our team would run our of space and have to erase everything thus taking away the context from the new drawings. We needed to have more space to write.

-Emailing the pictures of the drawings to all the team members was inefficient and unorganized. We needed to find a tool that would both organize all of the ideas we had drawn, and also make those ideas readily available to the rest of the team no matter where there were or what device they were using.

-Because of our low budget, our team isn't able to buy extremely expensive high performance white-boards and the boards we have, although we bought them not even three years ago, are already showing signs of wear and at this rate are going to prove unusable by our team in the near future.

Our team, RoboTex Robotics, would absolutely LOVE to be able to combine the ability of expressing ideas freely all over the wall, with the organization of those ideas in a easily sharable form. Idea Paint and Evernote would be the perfect and most valuable addition to our team's engineering design process meetings.

Oh, and by the way, we'll put your brand marks on our website with a short description and link if you want.

I'll use evernote and idea paint to make my office and apartment into a cohesive, creative workspace - in addition it would certainly help to keep my life organized, from shopping lists and to dos to workout schedules, budgeting and longterm goals and dreams.

When you can write anywhere and organize everything, there's no reason for your life and dreams to get lost in the shuffle!

I'd use IdeaPaint to make my house into a ridiculous free-for-all dry erase marker party. I'd then use Evernote to condense the wackiness that inevitably result from these chaotic sessions. Also, somehow pie would be one of the end results, somehow. MAKE MY WISHES COME TRUE!
Posted @ Wednesday, February 23, 2011 10:13 PM by Phil
I'd use IdeaPaint to cover all the walls in my house and leave dry erase markers lining the walls so people could leave fun notes. Then Evernote would be super useful for organizational purposes. Do I win yet?
Posted @ Wednesday, February 23, 2011 10:21 PM by Bethanie Pepper
I would use it to explore and connect various investment ideas and business strategies and then capture these ideas with evernote to share with my colleagues. :)

I would organize the 3 business I run with Evernote!
With ideapaint my creativity will flow!

I would use it in my physical therapy practice to track pt's progress, educate staff and patients and foster an awareness of technology advancement in a VERY rural area.

My hobby is gardening so an area of my greenhouse wall would be the perfect place for application of IdeaPaint! This would let me view my notes, questions, reminders and such at a glance. EverNote would enable me to have my own custom gardening encyclopedia and journal at my fingertips! This would be a GREAT technological aid to me in my gardening ventures.
