The concept of IdeaPaint was hatched in 2002 when a group of college buddies were brainstorming on a business project. The more ideas they had, the less room they had to write them. Frustrated, the conversation turned away from the assignment to the problem at hand. Too bad we just can't paint the walls and write all over them.

What kind of markers can I use on my IdeaPaint surface?

IdeaPaint has been tested and designed to work with all industry-standard dry-erase markers.

How should I clean and maintain my IdeaPaint surface?

IdeaPaint should be cleaned with a standard dry-erase eraser or a dry cloth after each use. For periodic and more thorough cleaning, a damp cloth may be used.

How difficult is it to apply IdeaPaint?

IdeaPaint CRE-8 is as simple to apply as standard paint. It is a single-coat, roller applied product. We recommend IdeaPaint PRO be installed by an experienced or professional painter. Click here to download CRE-8 installation instructions or click here to download PRO installation instructions

How soon can I use my IdeaPaint surface?

IdeaPaint will be a high-performing dry-erase surface 7 days after it is applied. Don’t use the surface earlier than 7 days after application. It will explode. Just kidding. But it can damage the installation.

What can I apply IdeaPaint to?

IdeaPaint can be applied to any surface. Wall, tables, filing cabinets, books (but not library books - those will explode too).

How long will my IdeaPaint surface last?

IdeaPaint PRO has a 10-year warranty, IdeaPaint CRE-8 a 5-year warranty. However, if properly cared for your IdeaPaint surface will last much longer. Click here to download the PRO warranty or click here to download the CRE-8 warranty.
