The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University
With six Nobel-Prize-winning faculty on-staff, the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is no stranger to “big” ideas. In the summer of 2008, the Tepper School administration realized that these brilliant faculty members often worked tucked away in their private offices. Hoping to foster a more collaborative culture, the school searched for tools that would make it easier for professors and students to work together. Fortunately, IdeaPaint—a product born out of the same realization that idea sharing is powerful—was available to suit the school’s needs. In a matter of weeks, the corridors connecting the faculty offices were coated with IdeaPaint, allowing for the convergence of bright minds and the public promotion of new and challenging ideas.

Target
Target learned about IdeaPaint at our official launch in June of 2008. Immediately, the company asked to work together on the Heart of America Program, which was created to help update under-funded schools across America. IdeaPaint was eager to get involved and offered unlimited paint to assist the schools in need. After identifying the many potential uses for IdeaPaint, Target decided to use the product in two ways: 1) To create a dynamic and interactive learning environment in the library so the school and students could have a larger writing surface to present new topics and share ideas, and 2) To coat old and worn-out chalkboards, making them look and function as though they were brand new. IdeaPaint enjoyed being a part of the program and look forward to working with Target and Heart of America in the future.

Bedford High School
Bedford High School has experienced rapid growth in recent years, forcing the school to quickly construct temporary classroom structures. With such a rapid and interim construction, there is often a conundrum surrounding classroom materials and supplies. To make the most of the space and materials available, the school painted IdeaPaint on the walls of the temporary classrooms as well as on metal doors around the school. As a result, Bedford High School was able to quickly provide its students with a high-quality writing surface and interactive learning environment despite the makeshift classroom setting.
