IdeaPaint 360 Makeover: IndieGoGo
Yesterday, we announced the second round of our IdeaPaint360 Makeover Contest, but we recognize some of you may not know what that means. To help you visualize what a 360 Makeover entails, watch as IdeaPaint's resident Ty Pennington, Keith Whittier, takes us behind the scenes and leads us step-by-step through the makeover process at IndieGoGo - one of our four winners from the first round. You'll see the dramatic transformation their office underwent!
Prior to the makeover, Keith likened IndieGoGo's San Francisco office to an "old western frontier - wide open, sprawling space with enormous potential. Minus the buffalo, of course." Post-makeover? "I feel like we built an amusement park on the moon. IndieGoGo was raw, open, blank space when we got there – and by the end of the Makeover, everything was colorful, usable and had the cool factor that we always love to see."
For IndieGoGo, a crowdfunding platform, cool and functional were both desired after-effects. Says Director of Operations, Caitlin Galimidi, "There is now a productive surface in every room where team members can express themselves and our work culture in bright vivid colors."
That's music to our ears.
Caitlin mentions the bright vivid colors, and we'd like to let you in on some news. There will be new colors coming in January 2012! In this video we actually showcased a custom color we made just for IndieGoGo .... black! We think it really makes a dramatic statement when painted on their floor-to-ceiling columns, and looks amazing with neon dry-erase markers. We're not just a whiteboard paint, people; color is important, too. Included in the 360 Makeover is a consultation with Keith to determine not only where IdeaPaint can go, but in what color, so that the space, like IndieGoGo's, can go from a blank canvas to an out-of-this-world workspace.
