IdeaPaint Changes Your Environment, without Changing the Environment

IdeaPaint™ is the most environmentally responsible dry-erase product on the market. It delivers more writing surface with far less environmental impact, and is now the only dry-erase paint product to achieve GREENGUARD certification.

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is a third-party certification organization whose mission is to protect human health and quality of life through programs that reduce chemical exposure and improve indoor air quality.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute for our products’ low chemical emissions," says IdeaPaint's CMO Marcus Wilson. "IdeaPaint is a transformative product for businesses, homes and schools. When you combine these certifications with the significant cost saving and environmental benefits of using IdeaPaint, we believe we have set a new standard of excellence in the dry-erase and whiteboard markets. This designation from GREENGUARD reaffirms that IdeaPaint is also the best dry-erase decision a customer can make from an indoor air quality perspective.”

“We congratulate IdeaPaint on its successful certification process with GREENGUARD,” said Henning Bloech, executive director, GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. “In a commercial setting, architects, designers and specifiers can look to IdeaPaint’s GREENGUARD Certification mark and be confident that its products meet one of the most rigorous chemical emissions standards in the world. In schools, parents, teachers and administrators can be assured that IdeaPaint’s products are low-emitting, helping to create healthier air quality within children’s learning environments.”

Air Quality

IdeaPaint’s dry-erase product families, including PRO and CRE-8™, have been issued GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality and GREENGUARD Children & Schools℠ Certifications.

These certification achievements verify that IdeaPaint meets the most rigorous chemical emission standards in the world, while classifying IdeaPaint’s dry-erase paints as low-emission products to contribute to the creation of healthier interiors.

• Exceeds the most stringent LEED rating system and California’s Section 01350 Standards
• Contributes to the fulfillment of EQ Credit 4.2 requirements in all LEED rating systems.
• IdeaPaint is a Member of the U.S. Green Building Council
• Has been screened for more than 10,000 chemicals
• IdeaPaint was the winner of Interior Design Magazine’s Green Star Award for environmental friendliness.
• Unlike most dry-erase surfaces, IdeaPaint is formaldehyde free.

Minimizing Waste

Millions of worn-out and unwanted whiteboards are dumped in landfills each year. IdeaPaint utilizes the existing surface so when you’re ready for something new, just paint over it. You can even resurface existing chalkboards or whiteboards, adding years to their life.

Conserving Energy & Resources

Traditional dry-erase boards require baking and curing procedures that consume large amounts of energy. IdeaPaint is simply stirred. And because our product is much lighter and smaller, it requires less material and fuel to ship. And we don’t use valuable raw materials typically found in other dry-erase products. No wood, steel, aluminum, vinyl or resin—just paint.

IdeaPaint's environmental benefits contributed to being awarded the PTPA (Parent Tested, Parent Aproved) Seal of Approval.

Hey there,

I got one question about the demolition of building and ideapaint.

We are about to found a center for sustainable business innovation at the university of applied science in vienna/austria. It starts as a student initative, and for the first year we got one floor of a building that will be taken down next year for rebuilding.

We think that the service of idea paint might be great to what we want to enable people to do - work on great ideas for norishing themselves as entrepreneurs and for the planet ecosystem.

So we got the question:
once the building is down, how does ideapaint stay in the environment/landfill for the next some... years?
